The Wait Is Over! The Pumpkin Spice Latte And Other Seasonal Starbucks Faves Return Tomorrow
With great patience comes great reward, and this week that reward is the long-awaited Pumpkin Spice Latte. That's right, as was rumored to be true earlier this month, the PSL and a few other fall favorites are officially back at Starbucks starting tomorrow, August 30.
With 19 years under its belt, the Pumpkin Spice Latte is still the same PSL we all know and love (at least some of us). The cozy drink combines Starbucks Signature Espresso and steamed milk with autumnal flavors of cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, and real pumpkin. And let's not forget about the dollop of whipped cream and pumpkin pie spices on top.
The Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew will also be returning this year along with the Apple Crisp Macchiato, but with a bit of a twist. The drink is now the Apple Crisp Oatmilk Macchiato and is made with oatmilk and Starbucks Blonde Espresso. Harvey Rojas Mora, Starbucks beverage developer, offered some insight into the why the recipe for the beverage was tweaked.
“Crafting the Apple Crisp Oatmilk Macchiato with Starbucks Blonde Espresso gives the beverage a soft and smooth foundation that ties all the flavors together,” Mora said. “The oatmilk adds a creaminess and brings forward the oat flavors of a traditional apple crisp topping."
If you're quite literally hungry for more, Starbucks has plenty of treats to choose from this fall. You can take their pick from the Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin, Pumpkin Scone, and Pumpkin Loaf. There's even the new vanilla cake and buttercream Owl Cake Pop, which has an adorable owl design and is dipped in purple chocolate-y icing.
