‘The Voice’ Season 22 Recap: Who Went Home and Who Made it into the Top 8

Find out who America voted into the Top 8 and who was eliminated on ‘The Voice.’
The Voice results rollout continued for season 22 when the Top 10 took the stage on Tuesday night and learned which eight of them would be going through and which two had come to the end of their journey.
The way the results worked this week was as follows: The seven artists with the highest number of votes from America automatically went through. Then the bottom three had to perform for the Instant Save, America’s second vote for the Top 10, as coaches Blake Shelton, John Legend, Gwen Stefani and Camila Cabello watched and then tried to convince America to vote to save their artists.

The night began with Team Legend – Parijita, Omar, and Kim -- taking the stage for a performance of “The Weight.”
Then host Carson Daly called The Top 10 to the stage—minus Kique who was watching remotely because he had tested positive for COVID-19—to begin the reveal of America’s Votes.

First to get word that he was going into the semifinals was Team Blake’s Bode, followed by Team Camila’s Morgan Myles.
After a break, the reveal continued with Carson announcing that Team Legend’s Omar Jose Cardona had made it through, as had Team Gwen’s Justin Aaron.
An entertainment break followed with Gwen and Justin taking the stage with a rendition of “Burning Down the House.”
Next was a clip of The Voice coaches playing a game from Blake and Carson’s new USA Network game show Barmeggedon, which will premiere Dec. 5.
Then, the remaining six artists returned to the stage after which Team Blake’s Brayden Lape got word he was moving forward. He was followed by Team Legend’s Parajita Bastola and the final artist to be saved was Team Blake’s Bryce Leatherwood.
That meant that Kique, Kim Cruse and Rowan Grace had to sing for the Instant Save.
For what was her final song on The Voice, Rowan’s song choice was “Landslide.”
“Every time she gets on stage it is like watching a Grammy-type performance,” Blake said. “She performed that song as if she wrote it. Those are the kinds of songs she shines on.”
Second was Kique singing “River,” which had been prerecorded like his previous night’s performance.
“It’s crazy because this show has so many talented people all the time, but it’s rare to come across an artist so young whose style is so unique,” Gwen said. “You can understand his personality through his unique voice. Kique is one of the most gifted singers.”
The final performance of the night was “Believe” by Kim Cruse.
“You saw all four coaches standing for Kim, America," John said. "That was so beautiful, so spiritual, so moving. Your voice has so much soul and warmth. I truly believe you are one of the best vocalists I have ever worked with. You put your personality into songs in such a warm and beautiful way.”
Then the Instant Save voting began and when the numbers were tallied, Kim Cruse made it into the Top 8.
The Voice airs Monday and Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
