Virtual Home Safaris Will Keep Your Kids Entertained This Summer

Summer camps, summer school, summer vacation and many other activities have been canceled this year because of the coronavirus pandemic. Parents now have to find new and fun creative ways to keep their children entertained, and one activity in particular is great for little animal lovers to do while at home practicing social distancing.

Kid-Friendly Outdoor Activities if You Don't Have a Yard

Going to the zoo is a classic activity for parents to do with their children every summer. Although your local zoo may be closed or limiting visitors, there are still ways your kids can see their favorite animals up close in their own homes.

The Cincinnati Zoo posts home safari videos to its YouTube channel, allowing your child to virtually meet the animals and participate in fun activities. The Smithsonian’s National Zoo also has live webcams set up showing animals kids will love.

Check to see if your local zoo is doing any similar feeds or online programming.

Visiting the zoo online is just one of many virtual and home activities you can do during the summer to entertain your kids.
