Viewers are all having the same reaction to new Netflix film Purple Hearts

That lovely lot at Netflix have been busy dropping some *huge* new releases into our laps this month - from gripping survival series Keep Breathing, to painfully realistic rom-com Uncoupled.

And the latest addition to our watchlists: new romance drama Purple Hearts, which is currently taking the No.1 spot in Netflix's top 10 films.

Promising to be a true heart-wrencher, the official synopsis reads: "In spite of their many differences, Cassie (Sofia Carson), a struggling singer-songwriter, and Luke (Nicholas Galitzine), a troubled marine, agree to marry solely for military benefits. But when tragedy strikes, the line between real and pretend begins to blur."

We're already gripped. And it seems fans are feeling the same too, with viewers all having matching reactions to the movie. Prepare the tissues.

As you'd expect from anything involving a military romance, Purple Hearts has got viewers fully in tears - "ugly crying" to be exact. And you know what? Sometimes a good cry in front of the TV is all we need.

Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote, "GIRL I’m ugly crying to Purple Hearts 😭😭😭😭." Meanwhile, another echoed, "Who told me to watch Purple Hearts? I’m ugly crying 🥹🥹😭."

A third added, "Purple Hearts got me ugly crying this is why the reason I am avoiding romantic movies."

Others were literally filled with praise for the film, with a fourth writing, "Currently ugly crying because of how good Purple Hearts was!! Didn't expect this movie to be this wholesome and beautiful... the chemistry is INSANE and the different tropes served! 10/10 recommend, one of the best Netflix originals in a long time."
