'The View' Fans Applaud Meghan McCain's "Vulnerability" After Showing Her Gray Hair in Honest Instagram

• The View star Meghan McCain has posted about her gray roots quite while in quarantine over the past few months.

• Recently, the conservative co-host shared a new photo of her grays and said this has been the "longest" she's gone without getting her hair done.

• The View fans praised the TV star for her "vulnerability."

Meghan McCain of The View is officially embracing her grays.

In April, she asked advice on her Instagram Stories about what she should do as her gray roots continued to grow out.

“So, I’ve been doing root spray ... and I think I’ve taken this as long as I can take it," she told her followers in a video message. "So the question I have for everyone is, does anybody have any ideas on what to do? I’m too scared to bleach my hair because it’ll make my hair fall out and my hair is fine as it is. Any ideas of grey hair dye? Should I go brown? Should I go pink? I can’t take this.”

She added that she didn't "mind going full gray" but also would be down to "try a new color." Meghan also clarified to her followers that having gray hair at her age was "hereditary" and that it was something that everyone in her family experienced, including her late father, John McCain.

Fast forward to today, and Meghan, who is currently pregnant with her first child with husband Ben Domenech, appears to be full-on into the idea of going gray.

"No lies about 'lighting,' 'dry shampoo' or at home treatments here .... reached my full quarantine Witch grey hair completion. Longest time in my ENTIRE life without getting my color done," she captioned a recent Instagram of her gray roots. "Shoutout to all my fellow women who also hereditarily went prematurely grey in your twenties."

In response, Meghan's fans offered up encouraging words to the TV personality. "You can rock the gray Meghan! Own it! You look great!" one wrote. "Thank you for your vulnerability," another said. A different fan commented, "You look fabulous, no matter what!"

Meghan is one of many celebrities who are being honest about their gray hair growth — Kelly Ripa, Sarah Silverman, and Kyle Richards have all shared their quarantine hair journeys. But unlike some who have opted for at-home coloring kits, Meghan made it clear that she has no plans to go the D.I.Y. route.

"Please don’t ask me to do my color at home," she wrote. "I can barely blow dry my own hair let alone highlight it."
