EatingWell: You recently released two new songs, “Tripped” and “Raw.” What’s your routine like to get your voice ready for recording?

Justice: My go-to is Throat Coat tea with a little bit of honey in it. The warmth is just so good for your vocal cords. It coats them nicely and is really comforting. Before I sing, I also like to get a good workout in the morning. Hot yoga is especially great before recording because the humidity and heat really gets your vocal cords ready to stretch and open up a lot. I also try to eat a substantial meal that's hearty and is going to give me some long-lasting energy. It’s usually something that's warm, whether that be rice and beans or something else with a good amount of protein.

EatingWell: Why did you partner with International Delight for Coachella this year?

Justice: I'm a big fan of the brand in general. When this partnership came along, and I knew they were doing this line of cold foam creamers you can bring home, I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, I’m a huge cold foam fan. This is a match made in heaven.’ And I also love Coachella, so to be able to combine things that I love so much, like coffee and cold foam, music and my favorite festival, was amazing.

EatingWell: How was it being a guest barista?

Justice: It was so much fun, honestly. A lot of people that came inside the Cold Foam House had no idea that I was going to be there, so I think they were genuinely surprised. I was serving people and asking which flavor they wanted. There’s Sweet and Creamy, Caramel Macchiato and French Vanilla. It was just really cool to recommend my favorites to people, to see their reactions and to be cheersing everyone. Coachella is exhausting and takes a lot of energy, so I feel like it was the perfect stop for people to get a little afternoon pick-me-up with some cold foam in there.

EatingWell: What’s your favorite way to enjoy a cup of joe?

Justice: My favorite flavor of the cold foam would probably be Sweet and Creamy. It's classic and simple but really, really delicious. I'll pour it over cold brew, iced coffee, an iced vanilla latte or something. And the cold foam is so great, because not only do you get the foamy sweetness up top, but it also drips down into the coffee and acts as a creamer. So, you get the best of both worlds.

EatingWell: What coffee machine do you use at home?

Justice: I have a Nespresso machine. I would recommend it. It makes making coffee very easy.

EatingWell: What snack kept you and your sister energized while at Coachella?

Justice: I remember we got these plantain chips. I can't remember the exact name of the brand, but it was a lime flavor. I'm half Puerto Rican, so growing up I would always have plantains and tostones. It’s a part of my diet and culture that I like, so it was nice to have that in a snack form. They're crunchy and flavorful, so I was really into those.

EatingWell: What did you do to help yourself stay hydrated during Coachella?

Justice: Because you’re in the desert for Coachella, you can get dehydrated very easily. We drank lots of water and coconut water.
