Victoria Beckham Beauty Just Dropped a Posh-Inspired Lipstick Collection
Victoria Beckham's eponymous beauty brand just released what might be its most nostalgia-inducing launch yet: a lipstick line inspired by none other than Posh Spice herself. The fashion and beauty mogul teased the collection earlier this week on Instagram with a touching note about what the former moniker meant to her — and how it ultimately propelled her to create a line of lipsticks that pay homage to that special time in her life. Now, lucky for Spice Girls fans everywhere, Posh Lipstick is officially here.
As one might expect, the line mostly consists of '90s-esque shades, including browns, mauves, and beiges — all of which Beckham famously wore during her Posh days. Additionally, if neutrals aren't your jam, there's a cherry-red hue called Pop and a plum color called Play. That, or Pout (a pale coral-pink shade) might be more up your alley.
As far as formula is concerned, it's rich in pigment — as well as nourishing oils (rosehip, coconut, and avocado) and waxes (candelilla, carnauba, and sunflower) to moisturize the lips and minimize fine lines and dry patches. Because the formula is so emollient, the finish is subtly shiny, which makes lips look lush and healthy.
In the aforementioned statement about Posh Lipstick, Beckham revealed how "deeply personal" lipstick is for her. "Lipstick has always given me confidence when I needed it and extra spice when I already had it," she wrote. "Each shade is inspired by a specific memory, and whilst the moments may have been my own, the energy and emotion is shared by us all."
