Nostalgia is SO in style right now, and Versace’s Spring 2018 show at Milan Fashion Week on Friday brought the past to life in the most stylish way possible. That’s because the Versace SS18 show featured a gaggle of supermodels from the ’90s, and yes, supermodels, like geese, come in gaggles.

These women were so important in laying the path (or runway) for everyone’s favorite supermodels of today, who also walked in the epic fashion show. It was incredible to witness them all together!

It’s all for a bittersweet reason, too. Donatella Versace chose to feature the fashion house’s past designs — and its past supermodels — in the show as a tribute to her brother, Gianni Versace, who was murdered 20 years ago. Have more questions? They’ll likely all be answered on Ryan Murphy’s upcoming series, American Crime Story: Versace. For now, it’s best to focus on the glory of the most iconic supermodels returning to the runway for one of the most iconic designers ever.

The OG supermodels looked as good as ever, and they totally stole the show

Yes, those are the legends Carla Bruni, Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, and Helena Christensen, who closed the unbelievable show.

THEY. LOOK. SO. GOOD.

The Versace show’s dedication to Gianni was evident in everything from the designs to the models, and even the audio accompaniment. According to The Cut, a voice-over recording opened the show as the lights went on, saying,

“This is a celebration of a genius. This is a celebration of an icon. This is a celebration of my brother. Imagine a world without his risk-taking, his innovative genius, and above all, his allegiance to women. A world without his tongue-in-cheek, in-your-face, jaw-dropping creations.”

And what an amazing tribute it was, because these ladies are living legends.

Donatella also joined them to walk the runway while George Michael’s “Freedom” played, and it was all surprisingly poignant.

Pass a gaudily-decorated ’90s handkerchief, please.

The newer class of supermodels was there too, of course, and their clothes showcased Gianni’s over-the-top prints.

Kendall Jenner and the Hadid sisters rocked quintessential Versace looks, as did Cindy Crawford’s 16-year-old daughter, Kaia Gerber.

But really, the supermodel legends stole the show. Each of them was hugely important to the fashion label’s founder, Gianni, and y’know, the entire fashion world.

Leave it to the Italians to put on the most sentimental — and glamorous — fashion show ever. Just look at these designs from the past and present!

But really, Versace’s Spring 2018 show was an amazing tribute to Gianni Versace and the entire fashion industry itself. It was truly a night of legends — and legends in the making.
