Vanessa Morgan and Michael Kopech Announce Their Engagement on Instagram
Vanessa Morgan and Michael Kopech are officially engaged!
As reported by Entertainment Tonight, the Chicago White Sox pitcher popped the question to the Riverdale star while on a romantic vacation. An Instagram video posted by Michael reveals that he got down on one knee in front of Arizona’s Mooney Falls, and further snaps on Vanessa’s IG Stories show just how breathtaking the engagement backdrop was.
In addition to sharing a clip of the big moment, Michael composed a lengthy love letter to his future bride. “You literally stayed by my side when I felt I had lost my mind,” he wrote. “You stayed by my side for these seemingly random changes of my life. You stayed when often times I didn’t deserve it. You’ve loved me for ME from day one. Completely unselfishly. You’re undeniably the spark that reignited my fire.” His note ended with what seems like the first stages of wedding vows: “I’ll never have enough words to tell you how much I love you, but I promise to always show you.”
As noted by People, Vanessa and Michael had been dating for about a year prior to their engagement. They seemingly became Instagram official last summer, with countless cute snaps and social media moments since. One thing is for sure: if their engagement was this cinematic, we can only imagine how romantic their actual wedding will be. Congrats to the happy couple!
