Canucks' Brock Boeser returns to practice after suffering concussion
The Vancouver Canucks received some good news on Saturday as Brock Boeser returned to practice after sustaining a concussion during Monday night’s 6-4 preseason win over the Ottawa Senators.
The head injury was the result of a dangerous hit from behind from Senators forward Chris Tierney.

Canucks head coach Travis Green was very vocal about his feelings on the hit, according to Sportsnet 650.
“ [...] I don’t like the hit at all. I think it was a dirty hit,” the bench boss said. “But now that I’ve had some time to watch it, it is [dirty], it’s not a hit that I like. I don’t like that we’re missing one of our marquee players.”
Green also told NHL.com earlier this week that the hope was for Boeser to be ready before the season starts. While having the recently-signed forward participate in practice is a good sign, he was wearing a non-contact jersey.
Additionally, defenseman Oscar Fantenberg practiced on Saturday after he, too, suffered a concussion in Monday’s game against Ottawa.
