US women's bobsled star practically nailed her Super Bowl prediction ... in April

Forget the bookmakers in Las Vegas. If you were looking for a spot-on prediction of what would happen between the Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII, you’d have been better off seeking insight from…the United States women’s bobsled team?

Back in April 2017, NBC asked a slew of American athletes headed to PyeongChang, South Korea, for the 2018 Winter Olympics who would wind up competing for the NFL’s Vince Lombari Trophy and what the final score would be. Turns out, Jamie Greubel Poser, who will be serving as pilot alongside brakeman Aja Evans in the American women’s bobsleigh, had everyone beat. The Massachusetts native, who went to high school in New Jersey and college at Cornell, pegged the Eagles and Pats as combatants in Minneapolis, with Philadelphia prevailing, 43-29.

Greubel Poser subsequently took to Twitter to celebrate her prediction, which missed the mark on the final score (41-33) by less than a touchdown.

Coming that close won’t have any bearing on Greubel Poser’s ability to bring home another medal from South Korea. According to an interactive schedule of the Winter Olympics created by Redditor Anthony Veyssiere, the 34-year-old is considered an “Outsider” to medal in the two-woman bobsleigh in PyeongChang.

So if this whole “Olympic athlete” doesn’t work out for Greubel Poser this time, she can at least consider a backup career in football clairvoyance.
