US Marines Help Save Oregon Man's Home From Fire

A pair of US Marines and their friends stopped on their journey home from a roadtrip on September 7 in order to help save an Oregon man’s home from wildfire.

The group of friends were driving through Estacada, Oregon, when they spotted firefighters tackling a blaze and decided to lend a hand using buckets of water and a sprinkler.

Speaking to Storyful, Louie Bec, one of the Marines in questions, said. “We noticed the large fires and wanted to help. We saw a fire approaching a man’s house and firefighters were fighting another fire so we helped him.”

He added, “I didn’t want to see that guy’s house go down. I don’t think anyone would have done anything different.” Credit: Louie Bec via Storyful
