This Is Us showrunner and creator Dan Fogelman knows fans have had to endure a lot of stops and starts with season 5. In an effort to clear up confusion about the NBC drama's schedule, he decided to share as much info as possible on Twitter recently.

On March 9, Dan thanked fans for their patience while tweeting that he "believed" fans could expect new episodes to air reguarly during the upcoming weeks. As it stands right now, new episodes of This Is Us are scheduled for every week except one of the following dates: March 23, March 30, April 6, and April 13. We don't know which date will not have a new episode, but we'll let you know once we're given more info.

Season 5, which premiered later than normal in October has been airing here and there in its normal Tuesday night time slot this fall and winter. After first breaking for its winter hiatus following November 17's episode, the show returned on January 5. But then on January 12, the show went on another mini break and returned nearly a month later on February 9. Three episodes later, the show once again needed to go on another break and didn't return until March 16.

This Is Us is one of many shows that have had to adjust and deal with filming delays prompted by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Back in January, Dan confirmed that one of the breaks taken this winter was a result of COVID-19 production delays in Los Angeles.

The good news is that it sounds like NBC has at least four episodes banked throughout the next few weeks, so hopefully it'll be smooth sailing for a bit. But even if This Is Us has to break again, we totally understand that it's way more important that the cast and crew takes their time and is able to create the show safely. We'll still tune in to catch up with the Pearsons whenever, no matter what.
