Welcome to The Esquire Endorsement. Heavily researched. Thoroughly vetted. These picks are the best way to spend your hard-earned cash.

Yeah, I know, you've got a suit already. Maybe it's one you picked up a couple of years ago in a pinch. It works. Maybe it's one you spent years saving up for. It's beautiful, and you wear it sparingly. Maybe you've got more than one suit. Maybe you've got a ton of 'em: You're an everyday suit guy. Bless your heart. But whether you fall into one of these scenarios or into the cracks between them, I'd be willing to bet you don't have a suit like Taylor Stitch's new Gibson suit.

In fact, I feel a little strange about calling it a suit at all, because everything about it—its look, its feel, the ease with which you can wear it, the ability to move in it—feels decidedly un-suit. In fact, the only real "suit" factors at hand are its lapels, its pockets, and the fact that when paired with its matching pant, it's a whole damn kit.

Semantics aside, this is a suit* you'll want to add to your collection of sartorial munitions. Here's why.

It's anything but stuffy.

Even the jubilant suit-wearer is familiar with the days where you kind of just don't feel like going whole hog on tailoring and tie. Maybe a classic suit feels like a little too much, or even a little too expected. Taylor Stitch's Gibson duo delivers everything you'd need to deploy a suit in a casual setting, with none of the formality. When things get a little more formal, but not too formal, in a sea of Brooks Brothers (no disrespect to the icons), your supreme chill will stand out without breaking the dress code.

You can take it everywhere.

This suit will work nicely in most any setting—whether that setting is a short drive or halfway across the world doesn't matter. Its linen-cotton blend makes for as lightweight a suit as I've ever seen, and because there isn't any extra padding or structural roadblock, you can fold this guy up nice and compact to get it to where you're going. When you get there, you might have a little more wrinkle than you're used to. But hey, that's linen, baby—it's OK to embrace it.

The suit's lightweight nature also lends itself to function. Its lack of structure allows the same benefit as drinking wine out of a can—yes, I like a suit that I can gesture wildly in. I also like a suit I can sit down in, tie my shoes in, run to catch a train in, and sleep in, if circumstances were to lead to that. In the Gibson suit I can do all of that.

Buying it helps more than just you.

Right now, this suit is a part of Taylor Stitch's Workshop program. That means, most importantly, you can pre-order it right now and pay 20% less than its original price. It also means that your pre-order will help to fund the actual production of the suit and help reduce waste. Earth, brother—she needs ya. When everything makes sense (the suit is funded, created, and warmer weather arrives) your suit will arrive, and flex you shall. Instant jawnification, it is not. But knowing you're contributing to something sustainable is just as satisfying as wearing that suit right away—right? Right.
