UNO Changes the Rules To Match 'The Office'

Cameron LeBlanc

It’s hard to overestimate the staying power of The Office. The NBC sitcom had a solid original run, but after it went off the air it became one of the most popular shows on streaming. In its afterlife, the show has inspired children’s books, a quarantine wedding, and now a special edition of UNO.

The new spin on the classic card game is mostly about the characters from the show that appear on every card. Michael wearing a lei and a saucy grin is on the Wild card, for example. Jim, Pam, Dwight, and the rest of the gang make appearances throughout the rest of the deck. The backside of each card is appropriately adorned with a Post-It note and Dunder Mifflin business cards.

But that’s not all. This edition of UNO also comes with a special card for a special rule: Kevin Malone’s Famous Chili rule. As you might remember, the office’s slowest accountant is very proud of his chili. Unfortunately, he’s also quite clumsy.

Naturally, this rule means that whoever is faced with this card has to drop all of the cards in their hand. But hey, at least you won’t have to clean up a bunch of chili with a manila folder.

The Office UNO is available for pre-order on Entertainment Earth for $5.99 for shipping in July.
