The Umbrella Academy star Elliot Page has credited his transition for "drastically" improving his life.

The actor came out as transgender in December 2020, and in an interview on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Tuesday (June 21), he discussed his coming out journey and the impact it's had on his life ever since.

"I think it's made me better in so many facets," he shared. "As a person, as a friend, and in relationships... It's improved my life drastically, and I hope that people who do have an issue with me could try and hear that and embrace that on some level."

The X-Men actor spoke out about how he was involved in the process of Viktor's development and how the show's creator Steve Blackman fully embraced it.

"When we first talked about it, he seemed really excited about incorporating it into the show," Page told Meyers. He added that they worked with trans author and journalist Thomas Page McBee, who gave them a hand.
