Great news, The Umbrella Academy fans! Netflix finally dropped a full-length trailer for season 3 of the hit superhero series. And it looks even better than expected.

1. Is 'Umbrella Academy' returning for season 3?

Absolutely. Back in 2020, Netflix announced that Umbrella Academy will return for season three. The new episodes were filmed last year in Toronto, Canada (not the U.S.).

2. When does it premiere?

Netflix confirmed that The Umbrella Academy season 3 will premiere on June 22. Showrunner Steve Blackman also confirmed the news at SXSW, per Deadline.

3. Who's in it?

Umbrella Academy season three will feature several returning cast members, including Elliot Page (Vanya), Aidan Gallagher (Five), Robert Sheehan (Klaus), Emmy Raver-Lampman (Allison), David Castañeda (Diego), Justin H. Min (Ben), Tom Hopper (Luther), Colm Feore (Sir Reginald) and Ritu Arya (Lila).

4. What is 'Umbrella Academy' about?

The story follows seven gifted children, who were adopted by a billionaire named Sir Reginald Hargreeves. In an attempt to save the world, he creates a facility called the Umbrella Academy, which trains them for what’s to come.

Season two of Umbrella Academy concluded with the Hargreeves family time traveling back to 2019 after visiting the ’60s. It doesn’t take long for them to realize that their actions have drastically affected their present-day lives.

In an exclusive interview with PureWow, Hopper (Luther Hargreeves) told us, “This season is really taking it up a notch. If anyone has seen the end of season two, they can probably guess where things are going, and that’s a very exciting dynamic that happens in the third season.”

5. Is there a trailer?

That’s right. In May 2022, Netflix released the first official trailer for The Umbrella Academy season 3, which follows the group as they face an all-new obstacle: The Sparrow Academy. “Essentially, we’re screwed,” someone says in the clip.
