Uma Thurman Flexes Her Feet in Thong Sandals at ‘Pulp Fiction’ 30th Anniversary Reunion

Uma Thurman donned all-black, down to her mani-pedi and thong sandals for the 2024 TCM Classic Film Festival opening night at TCL Chinese Theatre on Thursday in Hollywood, Calif. The red carpet event also included a special 30th-anniversary presentation of “Pulp Fiction.”

Recently, Thurman has been spotted in classic heels at events or sneakers while off-duty. At the Tom Ford fall 2024 fashion show during Milan Fashion Week in February, she wore another all-black look, elevated by t-strap stilettos with a large bow at the toe. At the Tory Burch fall 2024 New York Fashion Week show in February, she slid on classic black pointed-toe slingbacks with a kitten heel.
Thursday’s event celebrated the thirty years of Quentin Tarantino’s Oscar-winning “Pulp Fiction,” in which a 24-year-old Thurman gave her breakout role as Mia Wallace. Thurman’s co-stars Samuel Jackson, John Travolta and Harvey Keitel also attended the event, where the reunited cast gave a special conversation about the film. Rosanna Arquette, Phil LaMarr, Burr Steers, Eric Stoltz, Julia Sweeney and Frank Whaley also attended the opening night.
The theme of the 2024 TCM Classic Film Festival, which runs through April 21, is ” Is Most Wanted: Crime and Justice in Film.” Other featured films include “Chinatown,” “On the Waterfront,” “Dirty Harry,” “Dog Day Afternoon” and “In Cold Blood.”

Uma Thurman reunited with director Quentin Tarantino in 2003 for “Kill Bill Vol. 1,” making another indelible mark on pop culture with her character’s yellow tracksuit and coordinating Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 sneakers. Last year, the “Kill Bill yellow” kicks saw a comeback in popularity along with a limited-edition anniversary reissue of the exact colorway she famously wore in the film.
