Yellowjackets is finally back for Season 2, and it's honestly better than I could've imagined.
This new season hits the ground running, with the girls now bracing for winter in the wilderness, while in present day Shauna (Melanie Lynskey) is dealing with the fallout of the whole Adam debacle, Nat (Juliette Lewis) has been taken by Lottie (Simone Kessell), Taissa (Tawny Cypress) is sleep walking, and much more.
Now, while I love the adult versions of these characters, the teenage storylines are truly the most chaotic — and it's only gotten more wild. With it now being winter, and food becoming harder and harder to find, it leads to what we've all been anxiously anticipating: cannibalism.
After Taissa (Jasmin Savoy Brown) finds out Shauna (Sophie Nélisse) has been chatting with Jackie's (Ella Purnell) corpse, they made the decision that it's time to burn Jackie's body.
And whelp, one thing leads to another and the episode ends with all the girls...eating Jackie's body. Yup, yup, yup, yup, YUP.
Speaking to BuzzFeed News about filming the cannibal feast, Sophie said the fake human meat was made up of rice paper and jackfruit. "We were pulling out the rice paper, and it was all soggy," Sophie said. "We were like, 'This is the grossest thing ever.' It just tasted disgusting."
Meanwhile, Courtney Eaton, who plays teen Lottie, said she "gagged a couple of times," and Samantha Hanratty, who plays teen Misty, "threw up" while filming the moment.
