”Ulric has been instrumental in building the company into the global, digital and inspiring organization that it is today,” said Gabriele Cipparrone, group board member.

During his tenure as ceo, Jerome put focus on employing a mobile-first approach; introduced new services like 90-minute express delivery in London and opened up the business to new markets like Hong Kong.

Jerome joined Matchesfashion.com in 2013 as chief operations officer and was promoted to ceo two years later. He began his career as a tech entrepreneur, cofounding the French electricals and general merchandise web site Pixmania.com in 2000 and helping to grow it to a business with revenues of nearly 1 billion euros.

The U.K.-based electrical retailer Dixons acquired a majority stake in that company in 2006.
