UFC president Dana White tries to recruit Tom Brady to Raiders

UFC president Dana White has scaled his promotion into the mainstream, but he’s attempting to pull off a coup that could make some of his earlier deals seem like light work.

White pitched Tom Brady on joining the Las Vegas Raiders while livestreaming the phone call on Instagram, as the six-time Super Bowl champion is slated to become an unrestricted free agent this month.

“Now listen, the question everybody wants to know,” White said to Brady. “I'm a Boston guy through and through, I want you to go with the Patriots. But, let me make my last pitch, Las Vegas would love to have you here with the Raiders!”

“The stadium—the facility is incredible. The training facility that they have outside of Vegas is unbelievable. It's a 45-minute flight from L.A. Your kids and your family could live there and you could fly back and forth. We want you to come to the Raiders!”

Las Vegas is widely rumoured to be one of the leading suitors for Brady, with the Los Angeles Chargers, Tennessee Titans and San Francisco 49ers all rumoured to be in the mix. With a new stadium slated to open this fall, the Raiders would use Brady as their main selling point.

Brady discussed his impending free agency with Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and the meeting reportedly didn’t go well, fuelling speculation that he’s played his last game with the organization.

As expected, Brady provided nothing to offer regarding where he’ll play next season.

“I'm just trying to be patient through this process. It's my first time going through it. And, in the meantime, I'm going to spend a lot of time with my family over the next 10-to-12 days and we've got a little vacation planned which I'm looking forward to,” Brady said.

If Brady ends up with the Raiders, expect White to get some box seats and whatever other perks that come with recruiting the GOAT.
