  • Tyler Oakley called out a few major influencers who were ignoring social distancing and threw a massive party this weekend.

  • Influencers like James Charles, Tana Mongeau, Nikita Dragun, Charli and Dixie D’Amelio, and Emma Chamberlain attended Larri Merritt’s Hype House birthday party.

Well, since apparently some people still can’t get it through their heads, consider this your daily reminder that WE ARE STILL IN THE MIDDLE OF A PANDEMIC! Wearing masks and social distancing should be a top priority right now, but apparently, some influencers think they’re above that and are willing to risk the health and safety of themselves and so many others. Being on the right side of history, Tyler Oakley called them out for it in the best way.

ICYMI, somebody named Larri “Larray” Merritt had a surprise birthday party this week. (I’m told he’s important and a member of Hype House.) Instead of just organizing a little drive-by parade like most people have been doing this entire time, Nikita Dragun reportedly invited influencers like James Charles, Tana Mongeau, Charli and Dixie D’Amelio, and Emma Chamberlain to party at the Hollywood Hills mansion.

According to a video from the Hollywood Fix, there were at least 67 people inside as “hundreds” of people waited to get in. And as you can see from videos taken inside the party, most people were not wearing masks.

After seeing the influencers post on social media about the party, Tyler tweeted, “If your favorite influencers are at huge house parties during a pandemic (& are dumb enough to post it on social media)…they are bad influences. Unfollow them.”

In a second tweet, Tyler took care to @ everyone who he knew attended and asked them to “please consider social distancing, mask wearing & using your huge platforms to encourage responsibility during a worldwide pandemic.”

(BTW, Tyler replied to some of his followers and made sure to say he wasn’t trying to drag anyone who went to the party and just wanted to remind them that “they have the added responsibility of being role models during a crucial moment in our country.”)

A couple of hours after that, Larray responded to Tyler and said, “I understand 100% where ur coming from & it was a dumb thing to do. I will do better & will actually take this shit seriously. Appreciate you Tyler much love.”
