Chris Harrison Says Tyler C. Won't Be the Next Bachelor Because of His Gigi Hadid Date
Chris Harrison, host of The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, and Bachelor in Paradise, says the chances of Tyler Cameron becoming the next Bachelor are slim.
This is because of Tyler C’s recent dates with Gigi Hadid and Hannah Brown.
Tyler Cameron from this season’s The Bachelorette reallyyyyy seems to be enjoying himself lately. Sure, he wasn’t chosen by Hannah B to be her fiancé (Jed was, and that’s a whole other mess of a story), but Hannah still asked him out on a drink date anyway. After the drink date happened, our Tyler C. was spotted leaving Hannah’s house in some boneable comfy-looking athleisure, so take that as you will. Now, just a few days later, Tyler was seen on a totally different date—with Gigi Hadid, no less. Homeboy sure knows how to get around!
But apparently, Tyler’s back-to-back dates are screwing up his chances for possibly becoming the next Bachelor...at least, according to Bachelor franchise host, Chris Harrison. Chris exclusively spoke with Entertainment Tonight and dropped a huge bomb, saying that Tyler’s current image really doesn’t fit what ABC wants for their next Bachelor. Which, yikes.
“If Tyler is bouncing around from girl to girl and loving the life and enjoying the limelight—which, by the way, good on him. That’s fine. If that’s what you want to do right now, I don't blame him," Chris said. “He’s probably enjoying life really, really well—but that’s not someone we’re going to want to have as our Bachelor or Bachelorette...It’s about sincerity. It’s about where you are in your life. And if that’s where he is in his life, then he’s not the guy for us." Ouch, Chris!
Welp, that doesn’t sound too good for Tyler's Bachelor bid rn. According to an E! source, it seems like more dates are exactly what’s in store for Tigi (???), so his Bachelor chances are pretty much out the window. “Gigi thinks Tyler is really cute and nice and liked that he was a good listener,” the source said. “They have been texting for weeks and have plans to hang out again while Tyler is in NYC. They are both taking things slow but have both made it clear they are interested in each other.”
It also doesn’t look like Tyler will be slowing down his dating pattern anytime soon. In fact, it seems like he’s trying to go with the flow more than anything! (Can you blame him?) “Tyler is single and is going to date around. He’s definitely not tied to Hannah or picking up where they left off on the show. He’s having fun and not taking anything seriously,” the source added. “He’s getting a lot of attention right now and is just going to see what happens.”
I mean, just because Tyler can’t be the next Bachelor doesn’t mean that his television career is totally over. Chris really seems to think that Tyler has a chance of making it big on another ABC show. “Why isn’t it Tyler [on Dancing With the Stars]? Tyler dances. He has the whole Footloose thing!” LOL, okay Chris. We’ll just have to wait for that.
