It’s tough to find something more heartwarming than the 1998 version of “The Parent Trap”. One thing that may beat it out? Seeing the plot happen in real life. That’s basically what happened when two best friends managed to set up their parents and detail the romantic story on TikTok. The longtime pals, Catherine and Allison, told BuzzFeed that they used to talk about wanting their single parents to find love. One day, they got an idea: They'd set up a “coincidental” encounter. Like any classic rom-com, the original plan fell through, but the pair still managed to meet. From there, Allison’s dad and Catherine’s mom met — and the rest is history
