Twitter Thinks Harry Styles Spat on Chris Pine's Lap at the Don't Worry Darling Premiere

Just when we thought we'd finally caught up on all the Don't Worry Darling drama, the premiere took place and served us even more—this time courtesy of Harry Styles. Are you sitting comfortably?

Fans are now convinced that Harry Styles spat in Chris Pine's lap as he took a seat next to him at the Venice Film Festival premiere of DWD on Monday, August 5. In a new video, the 28-year-old seemingly spits in his co-star's lap in front of his girlfriend, Olivia Wilde.

Chris Pine, 42, can then be seen looking startled as he stares down at his lap and sticks his tongue out before laughing at the former One Direction star, who is busy smiling at his girlfriend.

Hundreds of fans have commented on the Twitter video questioning if Harry did indeed spit in Chris's lap, whilst others maintain that it was an optical illusion and Pine was just fiddling with his sunglasses on his legs. Neither Pine nor Styles have yet commented on the bizarre series of events.

What do you think?

Fans have taken the conversation even further by pointing out that Harry became known as ‘the whale’ at his One Direction concerts for taking a gulp of water and then spitting it out at the crowd—a move he performed (and was criticized for) during his 2021 Las Vegas show amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

One fan wrote on Twitter: “I love you dearly. But it’s Covid. Please stop taking a drink from water bottles then throwing it on people and doing the whale. That’s…an incredible amount of germs. I know most of us would let you spit in our mouths but just maybe retire it for this tour? No hate.”

The film has been a hotbed of drama with rumors that co-star Florence Pugh was apparently unhappy with the environment on set. Then Shia LaBeouf reinserted himself into the narrative. And reminder, this all took place after Jason Sudeikis dropped in to serve custody papers to his ex in a very public manner.

At the center of it all is Olivia Wilde, who's just trying to sell some movie tickets. If you have a good twenty minutes on your hands this morning, we highly recommend taking a look at our timeline of all the drama.
