Zendaya made history earlier this year after becoming the youngest actress in history to ever win an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama—and her latest performance in a special bridge episode of HBO's Euphoria is proving she's worthy of many more.

The hit series was meant to begin filming its highly anticipated second season right before the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. But due to the global health crisis and the resulting industry-wide filming restrictions established to prevent further spread of coronavirus, production was temporarily put on hold. Instead, the show's creator Sam Levinson worked to bring together two bridge episodes, one of which premiered last night on HBO Max.

The latest episode, titled "Trouble Don't Last Always" provides deeper insight into Rue's addiction and her heartbreak over her loosely-defined relationship with Jules. Rue discusses her grappling with not just sobriety, but also suicide, with her confidant Ali (Colman Domingo), who is also recovering from addiction. Though the episode shows a flashback of Rue and Jules pre-breakup sharing a moment of romantic bliss, the bulk of the special focuses in on Rue and Ali's conversation within an empty diner; a moving and honest depiction of how easily everyday life can become suffocatingly overwhelming. This episode gets deep.

The heartbreaking performance courtesy of Zendaya and Domingo received praise all across Twitter from fans of the show. Below, we ranked up the most passionate reactions to the two actors' knockout performances.
