It's time to rejoice! Zendaya has officially been nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for the 2020 Emmy Awards.

This year's nominations were announced in a completely virtual format due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, but the digital disclosure didn't stop announcers Leslie Jones and Laverne Cox from voicing their excitement over Zendaya receiving recognition from the Academy. Both Cox and Jones squealed with delight when it was revealed that the 23-year-old actress had been nominated for her highly acclaimed role as Rue Bennett in HBO's breakout series Euphoria.

In high-profile company, Zendaya was nominated alongside esteemed actresses Jennifer Aniston, Olivia Colman, Jodi Comer, Laura Linney, and Sandra Oh (see the complete list of nominees here). Also worth noting: Zendaya is simultaneously the youngest star and only Black actress to be nominated in the category.
