With so much to watch on TV it can be difficult to plan ahead. But we’re here to help! Here are the five shows you won’t want to miss this week.

This is Us: Tuesday, Oct. 31, at 9 p.m. on NBC
Tuck your little ones into bed after their own trick-or-treating bonanza and then treat (not trick) yourself to a very special Pearson family Halloween episode. Maybe don’t use the candy wrappers as Kleenex, though.

The Good Place: Thursday, Nov. 2, at 8:30 p.m. on NBC
The great Jason Mantzoukas invades The Good Place as Janet’s boyfriend, and the afterlife will never be the same. We always wondered where Dirty Randy would go when he died…

Alias Grace: Friday, Nov. 3, on Netflix
Netflix gets some skin in the Margaret Atwood game, adapting The Handmaid’s Tale novelist’s 1996 novel about a famous 19th-century Canadian murder case. Sarah Polley adapted the novel, and Mary Harron is behind the camera.

Christmas Festival of Ice: Saturday, Nov. 4, at 8 p.m. on Hallmark
It’s never too late to hop aboard Hallmark’s annual “Countdown to Christmas” series of Yuletide-themed TV movies, which started Oct. 27. Tonight’s feature stars Taylor Cole and Damon Runyan as an odd couple pair of ice sculptors whose hearts … well, thaw as they get to know each other.

The Girlfriend Experience: Sunday, Nov. 5, at 9 p.m. on Starz
Season 2 of The Girlfriend Experience chronicles parallel stories that purposefully don’t intersect; “Erica & Anna” takes place in Washington, D.C., and involves sex and corruption at the highest levels of government, while “Bria” follows a former escort who tries to leave that life behind after entering Witness Protection.
