I started my career in media as a beauty editor, which means I've been testing out skincare, makeup, and hair products since my first week on the job. Recently, I calculated exactly how many beauty products — and I've come to the conclusion that for the most part, I test 10 products every month on average, for a total of 120 per year. Needless to say, very little gets me excited anymore, but when it comes to skincare, Korres always, always hits the mark. In other words: It's the one skincare brand I still get excited about, and it's latest launch is one of the best yet.
For those unfamiliar, Korres is Greek-inspired skincare that contains ingredients ubiquitous and native to the country. The brand harvests plants and flowers that have grown in Greece for thousands of years, formulating them into a line of luxe cleansers, serums, creams, and more. Every Korres product feels like an indulgent experience — I like to think of them as courses on a pre fixe self-care menu.
Its latest launch, the Santorini Grape Velvet Skin Drink, is a lightweight serum that smoothes textured skin, adds a tremendous amount of hydration, and blurs imperfections (almost like a primer). The serum contains resveratrol, an antioxidant found in grapes (and naturally, red wine), that can help improve your overall skin tone and complexion. It smells amazing, blends into the skin in seconds, and leaves it velvety-soft and glowy. So glowy, in fact, that on a recent Zoom call, a friend told me I looked like "an angel shining down from heaven." I was scowling, as per usual, so I knew he was talking about my skin.

Of course, I can't give the Santorini Grape Velvet Skin Drink all the credit — I use it in tandem with a few other Korres products, and my skin has never looked better. I wash my face with the Greek Yoghurt Foaming Cream Cleanser (gets your skin super clean without stripping it), apply the Greek Yoghurt Probiotic Superdose Face Mask (which I keep in the fridge and it feels absolutely amazing), do a little damage control with the Black Pine 3D Eye Lift Super-Serum (applies like a dream), and top it all off with the Santorini Grape serum. If I'm going out, I'll finish the whole thing with sunscreen, too. Like I said, there are just not a lot of beauty brands and products I get excited about anymore (after all, when you test hundreds, they tend to lose their novelty). But Korres is one brand I'm always stoked to try, and the Santorini Grape Velvet Skin Drink (like basically everything else they make) didn't disappoint.
