Trump's lawyer had hair dye running down his face mid-sweaty press conference and Twitter was not forgiving

Twitter isn't known for being the most forgiving place at the best of times, so you can just imagine how it went down when Donald Trump's lawyer, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, was photographed recently with brown streaks of what looks to be hair dye running down his face mid-press conference. There's no other way to put it: this one got awkward.

Rudy Giuliani came under fire ahead of the November 3 US Presidential election after the Borat sequel filmed him acting questionably around a young woman in a hotel room. Since then, he has been one of the figureheads of Donald Trump's completely unfounded 'I WON THE ELECTION' campaign (despite the vote count suggesting precisely the opposite). It was Giuliani, in fact, who called a press conference to announce the launch of legal proceedings amid claims of election fraud, in none other than the car park of Four Seasons Total Landscaping garden centre. (There was natural speculation and mockery that this was an unintentional mishap, with the real intended location having been the Four Seasons hotel. Oh dear.)

So it's unsurprising, in the wake of all that, that when Rudy Giuliani appeared in a room full of people with a dribble of hair dye running down his face, people on Twitter had a lot to say.

The president’s lawyer was hosting a press conference in a small (evidently warm) room at the Republican National Committee headquarters last night. But as he spoke to cameras and reporters, it seemed he was unaware of the calamity crawling down the sides of his face.

"Rudy Giuliani is melting. Hair dye? Blood? Sweat black stuff?" quizzed one tweeter, while another sarcastically posted: "Rudy Giuliani has given his blood, sweat and grease this election."

One user revelled in a video of the former Mayor wiping off his sweat, but categorically missing the two main streams of brown on each cheek. Which is almost painful to watch.

"The pictures of Rudy Giuliani’s sweat...I might never recover," another onlooker simply posted.

In amongst the ridicule, there was the odd post sticking up for Rudy Giuliani, pointing out that whatever political disagreements people might have with the man, it was an unfortunate hand to be dealt.

"I genuinely feel sorry for Rudy Giuliani: first that awful and embarrassing Borat 2 incident, then the four seasons total landscaping news conference and its aftermath, now that dripping hair dye. Might be an awful person overall (and most probably is) but all of that is harsh," wrote one kind-hearted person.

Let's just hope for Giuliani's sake that this one is the last in a series of unfortunate events, shall we?
