We Tried Everything From Hero Cosmetics—Here’s What to Get

Hero Cosmetics Mighty Patch Original Acne Patches
I have tried almost every pimple patch under the sun, and these remain some of the best I’ve ever used. For starters, they stay put and don’t slide off in the middle of the night, which is crucial (and sadly, not always the case). They suck out all the gunk, flattening zits in just one night. I tend to be a popper (do as I say, not as I do), so my favorite way to use them is on picked-at zits, and they really help speed up the healing process. I’ll never be caught without a pack in my arsenal. —Bella Cacciatore, beauty writer $13, Hero Cosmetics. Get it now!Courtesy of brand - 2/9
Hero Cosmetics Rescue Balm Post-Blemish Recovery Cream
I know I shouldn’t pick my skin, but in those moments when I can’t help myself, the Rescue Balm has my back. I’ve tried endless creams, gels, and spot treatments to help my skin heal after a breakout and nothing has worked as quickly as this. I can’t say I’m surprised because I’ve been a loyal user of the Mighty Patch for years now, so Hero Cosmetics products really do work for me all around. Aside from providing a speedy recovery, the Rescue Balm also moisturizes the affected areas rather than drying out with superstrong ingredients, so any spots that are healing are so easy to cover. —Andrea Navarro, commerce writer $13, Hero Cosmetics. Hero Cosmetics Clear Collective Exfoliating Jelly Cleanser
This cleanser is extremely fun to use. It’s unlike any exfoliator I’ve ever used—instead of a harsh grain, the scrubbing action comes from tiny jelly balls that gently buff away dead skin and declog pores to prevent breakouts. It’s gentle enough to use every day, and has definitely helped keep my skin clearer without drying me out. —B.C. $13, Hero Cosmetics. Get it now!Courtesy of brand - 4/9
Hero Cosmetics Clear Collective Clarifying Prebiotic Moisturizer
I'll be using this moisturizer all summer long. It’s super lightweight, perfect for the hot and humid weather, and doesn’t leave my skin too dewy or matte. The formula contains prebiotics to feed the good bacteria on your face and balance your skin’s microbiome, while sage extract clarifies pores. Not only is it safe for acne-prone skin with no artificial fragrances, colors, or parabens, but it also wears well under makeup. —Ariana Yaptangco, senior beauty editor $13, Hero Cosmetics. Hero Cosmetics Force Shield Supercharged Resetting Mist
If you love a face mist like I do, you’re in for a treat. Force Shield is good—there’s a reason it took home a Glamour Beauty Award this year. It has a subtle minty scent that feels incredibly refreshing on sticky-humid NYC days, and spritzing it on top of makeup or skin-care doesn’t leave my skin feeling sticky or taut the way some other formulas do. —Talia Abbas, senior commerce editor $13, Hero Cosmetics. Hero Cosmetics Clear Collective Balancing Capsule Toner
Toner isn’t quite the right name for this product. It’s a toner-serum-oil hybrid that is a lot thicker than your average toner but has the same pore-minimizing, oil-controlling effects. As someone with oily skin, I can already see a difference in my texture and complexion. My skin is much smoother and even-toned, and the rest of my skin care seems to absorb more quickly. The texture doesn’t bother me—it leaves no sticky residue behind and is gentler than you expect. —A.Y. $13, Hero Cosmetics. Get it now!Courtesy of brand - 7/9
Hero Cosmetics Mighty Patch Micropoint for Blemishes
Like washing your face with a physical exfoliator, these microneedle patches are great for people who like to feel their skincare working. For me, these work best on larger cystic bumps that are just starting to form—they even stay put over the big boys that get super angry and inflamed. Do they heal acne overnight? No, but they can reduce swelling and make your breakouts fly by faster.—Shanna Shipin, commerce director $13, Hero Cosmetics. Get it now!Courtesy of brand - 8/9
Hero Cosmetics Gentle Milky Cleanser
Milky cleansers are usually too watery for me, but this one's an exception to the rule. It lathers ever so slightly, has little-to-no scent, and the formula feels so soft on skin thanks to colloidal oatmeal, jojoba, and ceramides—I'm keeping it around for days when I'm dealing with hormonal breakouts to soothe irritation. —T.A. $15, Hero Cosmetics. Hero Cosmetics Rescue Balm +Dark Spot Retouch
I've never been one for color corrector, but this apricot-tinted balm really converted me. My healing pimples and scarring tend to turn dark red, so traditional green correctors don't do much for me, but this one really helps brighten up dark marks—since it's close to the tone of my skin, I can also skip face makeup if I want. It's the same formula as the OG Rescue Balm as well, which I've found is essential in helping zits heal with less chance of long-term scarring. —B.C. $13, Hero Cosmetics. Get it now!Courtesy of brand
