Liverpool's 'special last season means nothing' - Trent Alexander-Arnold
The Premier League is back and it kicked off with an absolute thumping for newly promoted Norwich at the hands of Liverpool.
The champions of Europe humbling the champions of England’s second tier in a 4-1 win on their return to the top flight.
Trent Alexander-Arnold was key to Liverpool’s incredible run last season where they finished a point behind the champions Manchester City, and he claimed an assist on an entertaining night at Anfield.
But the Englishman is adamant their second place finish and Champions League glory is old news.
"We did something special last season but none of that matters now. We've got to focus on this season and hopefully we can go one better in the league,” he told Sky Sports after the game.

The 20-year-old became the first player to register an assist in five consecutive Premier League appearances since Mesut Ozil in 2015 and is one of only eight players in Premier League history to do so.
He added: "I want a better output, to create as many chances as I can for the team. As full-backs, we get forward as much as we can, as well as defend. And we want to keep more clean sheets. We kept a lot last season but we can get better."
