Trader Joe’s Recalls Coffee After It’s Found to Potentially Contain Glass

Check your pantry, as this product is not safe to consume.

As of May 24, Trader Joe's has issued a voluntary recall of its Instant Cold Brew Coffee (SKU# 67436) after its supplier alerted the company that the product may contain glass. The Instant Cold Brew Coffee—which was stocked in Trader Joe's locations nationally—is a 3.5-ounce container of instant coffee granules that can be added to water to make cold brew coffee.

If you have the Trader Joe's Instant Cold Brew Coffee in your pantry, check the expiration date. If it is one of the following dates, it is subject to the recall: 6/13/2024, 11/26/2024, or 12/30/2024.

As of now, there has been no reason provided for the broken glass, and no other products have been affected by the recall. Additionally, all of the recalled product has been removed from shelves. However, there is potential for the products to already be in customers' homes.

If you find the product in your pantry, do not use it. Trader Joe's is urging any consumers who purchased or received donations of the affected lots of Instant Cold Brew Coffee to discard the product or return it to any store location for a full refund.

There have been no injuries reported to date. If you believe you are experiencing any health problems related to the recall, contact your health provider immediately.
