The most popular smart plugs at Amazon are down to $13 a pop — but only 'til midnight

Hacking your home has never been easier and more affordable. If you're looking to turn on your TV from your phone or brew your morning cup of coffee on demand, you can now do so for $13. No, this isn't some far-off technology dream à la The Jetsons, it's a current reality, and all you need to make it yours are smart plugs. Specifically, the TP-Link Kasa Smart Plug Mini. It's a great choice to upgrade your home tech, and a it costs just $13 (was $20) today at Amazon.

This is a great price for a smart plug, but it's especially good since this No. 1 bestseller has earned a perfect five-star rating from more than 14,000 Amazon reviewers.

Simply plug the device into a wall outlet, then plug in anything from a lamp or a TV to a coffeemaker. Connect the plug to your Wi-Fi network and use your phone to sync to the Kasa Smart app (it works with Androids and iPhones too). And that’s it. Now you can control just about anything in your home with your phone.

“These are fantastic!" said a five-star fan. "The best part about them is the app. If you have ever had to deal with apps from other manufacturers, you know how hit and miss they can be about setting up. The only time I have had an issue was once I got too lazy and was a bit too far from the plug. Other than that the app has seen the plug and connected it to my network EVERY SINGLE TIME!"

"These were the best thing I could have bought for our Christmas trees," shared a fellow fan. "We have four Christmas trees up during the holidays and it was so nice because my husband is usually the last to go to bed and he wouldn't have to go and unplug every tree when instead he could just go to his app and turn the lights off of each tree. He loved using the app for that reason. We will use them for lights while we are on vacation or gone for periods of time we just moved in so we haven't put lamps out yet. But they can be scheduled to turn lights on and off as well."

The plugs just make your life less stressful, and who wouldn’t want that?
