Tori Spelling Dedicates Loving Birthday Tribute to 'Soulmate' Dean McDermott

Tori Spelling can attest firsthand that “love conquers all.”

The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum gave a loving birthday shout-out to the love of her life and “soulmate,” Dean McDermott, who turned 51 on Thursday.

“Happy birthday to the ?? of my life @imdeanmcdermott My beautiful boy you have shown me love and given me strength,” Spelling, 44, captioned a sweet photo of her husband holding their youngest child.

“When our hearts are connected I know anything is possible. And, together we have created the most amazing little souls 5 times over,” she continued. “Can’t wait to grow old young with you.”

She added the hashtags, “#mywholeheartformywholelife #soulmate #loveconquersall.”

Spelling and McDermott wed in 2006 and have welcomed five children together over the course of their marriage: daughters Stella, 9, and Hattie, 6, and sons Liam, 10, Finn, 5, and 8-month-old Beau Dean.

In October 2016, Spelling and McDermott opened up about welcoming a fifth child into the family — and why it couldn’t have come at a better — or more fitting — time.

“We’re in such a good place going into this pregnancy,” Spelling told PEOPLE of her decade-long marriage to McDermott. “We’re not just still here, but we’re bonded and solidified as a couple.”

A little more than four years ago, the pair almost lost it all. After McDermott admitted to cheating on Spelling, “everything crashed,” she said. “We had to start over. We had to completely rebuild.”

Over time, and thanks to intense couples therapy and individual personal healing, “we made the conscious decision based on our love for each other to tough it out and work through it,” said Spelling.

“It was one of the worst times in our lives, but it was also one of the best times. I wouldn’t change anything because if we hadn’t started talking and opened up those lines of communication, maybe we wouldn’t be here today,” she shared.

“Everyone has ups and downs, but I’m so madly in love with my husband and our family,” said Spelling.
