With rosters expanding after Sept. 1, some of the game’s best prospects will get a chance to aid their club’s run to the postseason. But others who have certainly earned their shot will end their seasons without a call to The Show.
Mark B: Trump has filed an emergency appeal to the Supreme Court. One of the conditions necessary for a court to hear such an appeal is for the appellant to show "irreparable harm" if the motion is not granted. I have yet to hear what irreparable harm Trump would suffer should the subpoenas be upheld and his financial records disclosed. The disclosures would go only to a secret NY grand jury or to the chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee (Rep. Richard Neal). In both cases, the law prohibits disclosure beyond those parties. In such a case, there is no irreparable harm that Trump could possibly claim. So, my guess is, he loses both appeals. Of course, the outstanding question remains: what is in Trump's tax returns that he is so incredibly concerned not ever be disclosed?
