In 2019 the Epicurious team continued its endeavor to find the best of the best for home cooks. In addition to revisiting some product tests from previous years to see if the winners held up against new-on-the market models, we tested out a variety of new tools as well, including air fryers, rice cookers, and mandolines. Since we are home cooks ourselves, the testing process often leaves us in interesting predicaments—commerce editor Emily Johnson still has around 10 immersion circulators haunting her apartment.
