Gas up the car, book that plane ticket and start trying on bathing suits —it’s time for spring break!
Yahoo Travel recently conducted a survey asking our readers where they planned to go over spring break. Last week, we shared those survey results with you, but now we’re taking it a step further. Based on the types of trips selected by our readers, the Yahoo Travel editors have hand-picked our favorite destinations to ensure some rest, relaxation, and a memorable party.
Here are the top 25 cities to celebrate spring break:
Beach or tropical resort

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina: In addition to 60 miles of sand, Myrtle Beach also has golf courses, waterparks and theme parks.
Panama City Beach, Panama: This is long been a hotspot for college spring breakers because of its warm beaches and nightlife. Embrace your adventurous side by renting a jet ski rentals.
San Juan, Puerto Rico: Explore the neighborhood of historic city of Old San Juan and then hit the beaches for some fun in the sun.
Virginia Beach, Virginia: Great food, hiking trails AND gorgeous beaches? Virginia Beach has it all.
Siesta Key Beach, Florida: Located in southern Florida, Siesta Key offers the warm water from the Gulf of Mexico and a relaxed vibe.
Negril, Jamaica: Where’s the party at this spring break? Try Negril, Jamaica. Go cliff diving, snorkeling, or simply enjoy the beautiful Caribbean sunset
Jaco, Costa Rica: One word —surfing. Catch some of the best waves in the world in the waters of Costa Rica.

Acapulco, Mexico: The Mexican Riviera is home to ports like Acapulco and Puerto Vallarta which are both packed with spring breakers sipping margaritas and dancing like there’s no tomorrow.
Nassau, Bahamas: Get a little rest and relaxation in the paradise also known as Nassau. The weather is great, the culture is rich, and the water is crystal clear.
Honolulu, Hawaii: If you have an extended spring break, cruising to Hawaii is a must. Most cruises start is Los Angeles and make stops in Honolulu as well as Maui and Kauai.

Charlotte, North Carolina: Charlotte is home to Carowinds Theme park, which will be opening the world’s highest giga coaster on Wednesday, March 25.
Arlington, Texas: In Spring 2015, Six Flags Over Texas will debut an all-new 4D interactive dark ride attraction — Justice League: Battle For Metropolis
Orlando, Florida: During the last three weeks of March, Universal Studios has Mardi Gras celebrations every Friday and Saturday night. Walt Disney World is also a must-do for families looking to ride a few rides and hob knob with Mickey Mouse.

Paris, France: The City of Lights can get hot and muggy in the summertime. But in spring, the weather is cool, and the flowers are in bloom as you stroll along the River Seine.
Madrid, Spain: You may have to battle some rain, but food and nightlife in Madrid will more than make up for having to carry an umbrella.
Corfu, Greece: When you walk into the Pink Palace, they hand you a drink. Enough said. Visit Corfu for a fun (and crazy) spring break experience.
Dubrovnik, Croatia: Dubrovnik is affordable and steeped in history. Old Town is a favorite for many travelers.
Dublin, Ireland: Ireland’s National fest day falls into spring break week. And if your spring break falls over St. Patrick’s Day, there’s nothing better than being in Dublin.

Las Vegas, Nevada: What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas…especially over spring break.

Scottsdale, Arizona: The San Francisco Giants, Colorado Rockies, and Arizona Diamond Backs all use Scottsdale for their spring training.
Tampa, Florida: Watch the Yankees spring training. If you’re a Red Sox fan, head on over to Lee County to watch the team during batting practice.
