Tomi Lahren is planning a wedding — and a political campaign.

On Monday, the outspoken Fox Nation commentator announced that her fiancé, Brandon Fricke, will be running against Democratic congressman Ted Lieu in California’s 33rd district. Fricke is a former quarterback for Central Michigan University who has worked as an adviser to the NFL.

Lieu, a former California state senator who has been in Congress since 2015, is a fierce critic of President Trump, often taking to Twitter to speak out against his “stupid” policies.

And while Lahren herself is famed for using Twitter to air her political grievances — recently by slamming Walmart and Jay-Z — it’s Lieu’s use of social media that gets called out in a new campaign video for Fricke, who will run as an independent in the 2020 election.

“While our problems get worse by the day, our current representative is busy writing his next tweet,” Fricke charges, with the video showing Lieu’s Twitter feed and the congressman’s responses to Trump’s own tweets.

Fricke, who got engaged to Lahren in June, also spoke out against the district’s struggle with homelessness and drugs.

“The sight of tents, trash, feces and needles littering our public spaces has become ordinary,” he said. “We must not only show compassion for the disadvantaged, but for the hard-working constituents who abide by the laws and are just trying to live their lives in the district that we all fell in love with.”

Fricke’s campaign — and ties to future bride Lahren — have already been subject to some political mud-slinging.

But some of Lahren’s followers are here for it.
