In the past, Jenna Bush Hager has commanded the attention of a room with her bold outfits. But mostly recently, she found herself accepting help when she suffered a wardrobe malfunction only a pair of pliers could fix.

On April 25, Jenna opened up to cohost Hoda Kotb on Today’s fourth hour about a trip she took with her twin sister Barbara Pierce Bush that didn’t go exactly as planned. It all went down when the siblings were on their book tour for their latest release The Superpower of Sisterhood. According to Jenna, she was feeling great in a green-striped matching tank and pant set. Although the bottoms were giving her some trouble, she didn’t imagine it would put her in an unfortunate predicament when she made a stop to the bathroom. Thankfully, someone immediately stepped in.

“I wore this outfit. I thought I looked so cute. We go into the bathroom and what happened [was the middle part of my zipper popped]. I kind of knew it popped but I just ignored it because the shirt was long enough,” she said on the NBC show. “I’m going to the bathroom and I go ‘Barbara, I can’t get out of my pants.’ We drove for four hours. I was dying … A woman in the stall goes, ‘Honey, you can’t get out of your pants? Hold on one minute, I got pliers in my car.’”

Jenna continued: “She came back in with pliers. That woman in that video is a stranger who was cutting me out of my pants … 'Oh I’ve had these pliers since I jumped out of planes in the army,' that’s what she said … She fixed it right away. I was laughing hysterically.”

A closer look at the video she shared on Today reveals that she documented the wardrobe incident on her Instagram Stories. It’s not known how long the whole ordeal was but everyone enjoyed hearing (and seeing!) the situation unfold.

“#OnlyJenna 😂,” one person wrote in the Instagram comments section. "😂😂😂 Of course this happened to YOU!!!!" another added. “I love how down to earth you are! This story is so great! Thanks for sharing!! 😂😂😂😂,” another added.

What’s more, some folks took this as a learning opportunity. “Welp, there's another tool I need to add to the purse,” a follower commented. “I carry pliers and scissors and a hammer and tape. You never know when you'll need them. I've used the scissors the most,” someone else chimed in.

Poor Jenna!
