'Today' Show Fans Have So Much to Say About Hoda Kotb’s Rare Family Instagram

·2 min read

Hoda Kotb's Instagram post from Sunday is giving Today show fans all the feels.

In honor of Mother's Day, the NBC coanchor shared a sweet throwback photo featuring her mother, Sameha, holding Hoda's brother, Adel, as she's seated next to her sister, Hala. Though Hoda didn't specify why she wasn't in the photo or when the picture was taken, the Today star wrote in the caption: "My amazing mom with my brother and sister a bunch of years ago... she dazzles me."

Right away, Hoda's fans took to the comment section with many heart emojis. "You have her smile!!" one fan wrote. "I am sure she is so proud of you," another said. "She is BEAUTIFUL ❤️," a different fan noted.

While Hoda has posted photos of her mom before, it's rare to see a throwback like the one she shared on Sunday. Regardless, Hoda never misses a chance to speak highly of her mom. Last spring, she admitted to missing her mother dearly during the coronavirus pandemic.

“My mom is such an important part of our lives,” Hoda told cohost Jenna Bush Hager on the show. "It’s underscored in this moment."

It's clear that Hoda is also greatly appreciated as a mother. On Friday, Hoda's eldest daughter, Haley Joy, 4, appeared on the Today show via a pre-recorded clip to share what she has learned about her mom.

"That she loves me and she gives me hugs," Haley said. "And I talk to her about my day." Later, her younger sister, Hope Catherine, 2, joined in on the fun, though Haley did all the talking. "Happy Mother’s Day, Momma!" she said. "I love you!"

Hoda later posted the clip of Haley and Hope to her Instagram page — and to say it's adorable is a giant understatement. Here's to hoping Sameha and Hoda both felt the love this Mother's Day.
