Hoda Kotb has been keeping a major secret from her fans, but she's finally ready to let them in on it.
In addition to hosting the Today show and a hit podcast, Hoda shocked her Instagram followers when she revealed she wrote a children's book! Posting a video of her inside a recording booth, Hoda shared that her new literary work is titled Hope Is a Rainbow (which she previously said was inspired by her daughter, Hope Catherine). Although it's set to be released on March 5, the book is already available for folks to pre-order online.
"OK, I have a surprise," she said in the clip uploaded on January 26. "I've kept it close to the vest, but not anymore. Hope Is a Rainbow! It's a book and it's out March 5 and I'm so excited about it! It's gonna make your kids feel like the clouds are gonna part and life can be beautiful again. It will give kids that life lesson, and grown-ups too!"
When folks learned the TV personality was adding another book to her already impressive resume, they couldn't wait to voice their excitement in the comments.
"Beautiful title and concept. Congratulations," one person wrote on Instagram. "OMG!! I am so happy for you. I am over the rainbow and can’t wait to get your book!!! Best Wishes," another congratulated her. "Go Hoda! We can’t wait to add this to our shelves!" a different follower added.
For those wondering what Hope Is a Rainbow is about, her publisher Penguin Random House says that it is "a lyrical celebration of hope in children and teaching the youngest readers how to reach for their dreams." It also notes that it's meant to be "a lesson in optimism and what a positive outlook can bring."
It's also important to note this isn't Hoda's first book. She's released seven titles throughout the last two decades, with the adoption of her older daughter, Haley Joy, being the inspiration behind her March 2018 children's book I've Loved You Since Forever.
Congrats, Hoda and we can't wait to snag ourselves a copy very soon!
