‘Today’ Fans Are Beyond Excited After Dylan Dreyer Drops Huge Career Update

When Dylan Dreyer isn't being a successful news anchor on the Today show, she's busy making major waves in the children's literary world.

Back in April, the broadcast journalist announced that she would be adding a third title to her popular Misty the Cloud children's series. Fast forward, Misty the Cloud: Fun Is in the Air debuted on May 2 and it received a round of applause. Apart from becoming a top new release best-seller on Amazon, the new title also received an incredible recognition for Penguin Random House's program "Step Into Reading," which is designed to help readers succeed at whatever reading level they're at.

Shortly after the news broke, Dylan thanked her fans on Instagram for helping her garner new accolades. "THANK YOU!!! Not only has your support and excitement for Misty the Cloud gotten a 'Step Into Reading' into the top spot for weather books, but Misty rounds out the top 3!! Go Misty!!!" she wrote on May 3.

Just like for the meteorologist's previous works, Today show fans couldn't contain their excitement for Dylan's accomplishments. As a result, they congratulated her in the comments section over her recent success.

"This is awesome … You're awesome – is there anything you can't do!!! 👏🏻👍🏻🫶," one person exclaimed. "Got all three for my weather obsessed five year old and she can’t get enough," a different fan wrote. "Congratulations!! We love, love, love this book in our house 💜💜💜💜," another follower replied.

As previously mentioned, Misty the Cloud: Fun Is In the Air is the third installment in Dylan's series. Her debut novel Misty the Cloud: A Stormy Day came out in October 2021, with Misty the Cloud: Friends Through Rain or Shine following next in September 2022.

Outside of children's fiction, Dylan also continues to expand her résumé with exciting projects. Most recently, she updated fans that new episodes of her nature show Earth Odyssey will premiere this summer on NBC, just a year after taping her 500th episode.
