If you like to pass the long winter nights curled up on the couch watching seasonal specials, we've got good news for you: Fox just announced a holiday-themed Masked Singer showdown! The two-day event will be full of Christmas cheer, so here's everything we know about "Merry Maskmas."

When will the holiday-themed episodes of The Masked Singer air?

The seasonal semifinals will air over the course of two nights, on Tuesday, December 10 and Wednesday, December 11 at 8 p.m. ET on Fox. On Tuesday, the six remaining contestants will compete against each other for the first time, after which one celebrity will be unmasked; on Wednesday, two celebrities will be revealed.

Who will be performing?

We don't know who will take the stage, however, nine contestants currently remain, including the Butterfly, Flamingo, Flower, Fox, Ladybug, Leopard, Rottweiler, Thingamajig, and Tree.

When is the season 2 finale?

The season finale will air on Wednesday, December 18, and during the two-hour event, the three remaining celebrities will compete for the The Golden Mask.

What's next for the celebrity singing show?

Season 3 of The Masked Singer has already been announced. Several new costumed crooners will take the stage on Sunday, February 2 (immediately after the Super Bowl).

However, before season 3 and the holiday event, The Masked Singer will welcome Triumph the Insult Dog to the judges’ panel. The crude, punchy puppet will join Robin Thicke, Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, and Nicole Scherzinger on November 13.
