This Tiny Palm Beach Rental—Named the Pineapple Pad!—Will Put You in Instant Vacation Mode
As Palm Beach natives, sisters Beth Ashchenbach and Danielle Norcross grew up surrounded by palm trees and sunshine, picture-perfect beaches and lots of pink. Meet the Pineapple Pad, a brand-new Palm Beach vacation rental designed by Aschenbach and Norcross to reflect their signature seaside-inspired style. Created in partnership with luxury lifestyle management firm The Enjoy Company, the pint-sized escape (it’s only 400 square feet!) is decked out with rattan, palm leaves, pink shades, and—yes—pineapples. “We wanted it to be a beautiful blend of old-meets-new Palm Beach and for guests to really feel like local Palm Beachers during their stay,” Ashchenbach and Norcross say.
But while the Pineapple Pad exudes beachy style now, it wasn’t so long ago that it was a dark and dated hideaway with mustard yellow walls. (See the before photos here.) To get the tiny rental vacation-ready, the sisters worked with local contractors to install wood floors and shiplap walls. In the kitchen, open shelving holds a collection of rattan glassware above custom cabinetry painted a pale blush pink (Middleton Pink by Farrow & Ball). The blush pink hue is carried over into the living room with a tailored, tufted sofa and complimented with a collection of rattan furniture and accessories and tropical foliage.

But, like any good vacation rental, the real magic here lies in the details that make it feel quintessentially Palm Beach. Throughout the Pineapple Pad, nods to its beachy locale are everywhere, from an illustrated map hanging in the kitchen to the seashell and bamboo accents and the pink-striped awning that hangs over the bar. And pineapples, naturally, are aplenty, including as an accent on the living room chandelier, as a front door knocker, and as the bathroom wallpaper motif.
