- Tinsley Mortimer joined the cast of The Real Housewives of New York City in 2017 and has been very open about her relationships, despite ups and downs.
- The socialite has been dating Coupon Cabin CEO Scott Kluth on and off since February 11, 2017.
- Her pre-RHONY days were filled with interesting romantic relationships, including a teenage elopement.
Tinsley Mortimer has only been on The Real Housewives of New York City for two years, but she's already seen more than her fair share of drama and shed plenty of tears. The socialite's life was not so chill during her pre-RHONY days, either. Over the years, her romantic relationships have been overflowing with intrigue, starting way back when she was a teen and found young love.
Here's everything you need to know about Tinsley's relationships, past and present:
Tinsley eloped when she was a teenager.
She and Robert Livingston "Topper" Mortimer met in high school and fell in love. They eloped when they were both 18, but their parents forced them to annul their marriage.
"We watched [Beverly Hills,] 90210, when Andrea got married at the court," Tinsley told Bethenny Frankel and Carole Radziwill on an episode of RHONY. "They went to a court and got married. We were like, 'ding, ding, ding, oh my god we can go to a court and get married and nobody has to know.' So we got married!"
Tinsley married her high school sweetheart—twice.
Despite her parents' initial disapproval, she and Topper were determined. The couple later remarried in Richmond. However, their love didn't stand the test of time, and they eventually divorced. They still remain friends many years later.
Tinsley had a tumultuous relationship with Alexander "Nico" Fanjul.
Nico and Tinsley started dating in December 2012. Their relationship was filled with incidents, including alleged abuse, which landed Tinsley in the hospital, according to People. Tinsley was also arrested in April 2016 for allegedly trespassing at Nico's Palm Beach home.
Tinsley met Coupon Cabin CEO Scott Kluth on a blind date.
On February 11, 2017, Tinsley met Scott with RHONY castmate Carole Radziwill on a double blind date, People reported. He lives in Chicago, but that didn't keep the lovebirds from dating. "Scott is amazing," Tinsley said on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, per the publication. "He’s an incredible guy, and I’m just lucky to have met him. I have a great guy. It’s awesome."
Tinsley admitted she likes monogamy.
During an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Tinsley opened up about her views on relationships. "I’m not going to lie, I’m happy when I’m in a relationship," she said. (No shame in your dating game, girl!)
Unfortunately, Tinsley and Scott's relationship is on-again and off-again.
Tinsley may love love, but it's not all smooth sailing with her current man. Her relationship with Scott has brought Tinsley to tears on multiple episodes of RHONY. In a Spring episode, Tinsley cried and, according to People, said: "He’s a very different person than every person I’ve ever dated. He has controlling ways about him."
"It’s a juggling act," she added at the time. "Every day is a new f*cking headache. … I don’t know what to do." Still, Tinsley responded to her RHONY castmates' questions, "I love the guy, okay? I don’t know what else to say. …. It’s not fair."
And now, the couple are off—permanently.
Tinsley's latest public update points to the couple being officially over, per BravoTV.
Watch Countess Luann explain why she thinks Tinsley and Scott have broken up:
And while Tinsley was recently linked to Billy Bush after they were seen out bowling together, she denied those rumors, claiming they were just friends, on July 9 during Watch What Happens Live. Her mom, however, said they'd been on two dates. To which Tinsley responded, "What?!"
Still, if you're a RHONY fan, you know that anything can—and probably will—happen, so fans will just have to wait and see what Tinsley's current relationship status is. Bethenny, Dorinda, and Sonja are expected to ask for the truth about it on the RHONY Reunion Part Two airing tonight at 9:00 p.m. ET on Bravo, so... yeah, you'll definitely want to tune in for this one.
