Tina Knowles-Lawson Celebrates Blue Ivy on Her Birthday With Touching Tribute

Beyoncé and Jay-Z's daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, is growing up!

The kid star celebrated her 11th birthday on Jan. 7, and Tina Knowles-Lawson didn't skip out on the chance to tell the world how much her granddaughter means to her on the special occasion.

The mother of the Destiny's Child alum took to Instagram to post an endearing message for her pre-teen grandchild, along with a photo of the two standing in the golden sand on a beach together.

"The day that you were born was one of the best days of my life," she said of the young Grammy-winner's birth, adding, "I was really praying and pushing your mom to have you on January 4 which is my birthday. I really wanted you to share my birthday, but like your auntie Solo you decided to come when you were good and damn ready and that was on January 7 three days after my birthday."

In the photo, the duo sported coordinating black and white outfits, as the tropical setting served as a truly enviable backdrop for the endearing snapshot.

Knowles-Lawson continued singing her granddaughter's praises, gushing about all the many talents the "Brown Skin Girl" collaborator possesses.

"Knowing you and your personality now, I realize that you needed your own day because you were such a queen and you are so very special!" she wrote, also noting that Blue Ivy can sing, dance, play basketball and volleyball, paint, draw, sew, write poetry and songs, create, act, and play the piano.

The grandmother is clearly immensely proud, saying there's "really nothing that you can't do," and being sure to let the young girl know that she's "funny and beautiful and graceful, kind, and so smart."

The star-studded comment section erupted with celebratory notes for little miss Blue Ivy, as several people sent well-wishes both her and her grandmother's way.

Tina wrapped up the social media caption with this heartfelt sentiment: "I could not ask for a better granddaughter Ms. Blue Ivy Carter! I could not be more blessed, grateful, and completely in love with another human.”

"You truly bring me joy!!" she concluded, before adding three heart emojis and signing the post, "Grandma T."
