TikToker warns parents about what he allegedly found in popular snack: 'Kids are drinking this!'
A TikToker is grossing out viewers after claiming that his Capri Sun contained mold in it.

The video, which has since amassed over 7 million views, shows user Victor Marcelo Aguil (@victormarceloaguilar) investigating what he alleges to be something floating in the juice pouch. After, Aguil cuts open the bag to look closer at the juice.
“Do you see this f****** s***?” he asks. “This is f****** b*******. The kids are drinking this!”

In a follow-up video, Aguil claims that he had bought and refrigerated the Capri Sun three days prior to filming the TikTok and that the listed expiration date was June 26, 2022.
“New fear unlocked,” one commenter wrote.
“I refuse to watch the whole video,” another added.
Capri Sun has yet to respond to Aguil’s accusation, but this isn’t the first time the brand has been in hot water for the same issue. In 2018, a father in Indiana posted a similar video on Facebook of what he claimed was also some mold floating in his child’s Capri Sun. At the time, Kraft Heinz, the parent company, said that it came from a small puncture in the package, and this was an “isolated case of mold growing inside the container.”
“Although rare, it is possible for mold to grow inside containers of preservative-free juice drinks if the pouch is punctured in any way on its journey from our facilities to people’s homes,” Kraft Heinz spokesperson Lynne Galia told TODAY in 2018. “We understand it’s unpleasant, but the mold is naturally occurring, just like if you left an apple on your counter for too long and mold begins to grow.”
Other comments on Aguil’s TikTok seemed to agree.
“It’s because it has no preservatives,” someone explained. “You should actually be happy about seeing the mold. Real food molds!”
The FAQ page on Capri Sun’s website also added that this is why the company started making the bottom of the pouches clear so that parents could check the state of the juices before handing them out to their kids.
“We have invested millions of dollars in our packaging, quality and manufacturing processes to make our pouches even stronger and more resistant to air leaks,” the website reads. “We recommend that parents gently squeeze each pouch to check for leaks before serving Capri Sun to their kids. Any leaky or punctured pouches should be discarded.”
