Tiffany Haddish Used a $30 Sunscreen to Prep Her Radiant Skin for the Golden Globes

From Prevention

  • Tiffany Haddish stunned with a blonde buzzcut and glowing skin at the 2021 Golden Globes on Sunday.

  • Her makeup artist, Ernesto Casillas, used Shiseido’s Clear Sunscreen Stick SPF 50+ to help prep her skin before makeup.

  • Casillas also used Shiseido skincare and makeup products for the rest of Haddish’s glamorous awards show look.

Tiffany Haddish turned heads when she premiered a dramatic blonde buzzcut at the 2021 Golden Globes—the comedian’s first major hair transformation since shaving her head last summer. Also key to the 41-year-old’s glamorous look? A flawless complexion, which all started with a stick sunscreen.

In an Instagram post, Haddish’s makeup artist Ernesto Casillas revealed that he prepped the star’s makeup with Shiseido’s Clear Sunscreen Stick SPF 50+. The sunscreen, applied after serum, was “super important” in keeping the Golden Globes presenter’s skin hydrated, protected, and oil-free throughout the night (with no white cast in sight!).

The cult-favorite product is non-greasy and reef-safe, it works on both the face and body, and it even claims to become stronger when exposed to sweat and water. Plus, it’s convenient to carry, since a stick is much less likely to explode in your bag than, say, a bottle of SPF.

The stick has incredible reviews everywhere it’s sold, including Nordstrom, Sephora, and Dermstore. “I love how easy it is to apply and I love the super light fragrance,” says one Sephora reviewer, who calls it a “holy grail” sunscreen. “I’m about to order my second stick just because I don’t wanna run out!”

The rest of Haddish’s awards show beat was also by Shiseido. Casillas applied the Ultimate Power Infusing Concentrate to prep her skin, Benefiance Wrinkle Smoothing Cream to rejuvenate her eyes, Synchro Skin Radiant Lifting Foundation in 440 Amber to even out her complexion, and Controlled Chaos Mascara to make her lashes pop.

“I look at these pictures and think of all the people that said, ‘Tiffany, you are [too] funny-looking,’” the Girls Trip star shared on Instagram. “I am good just the way I am, but thank you for those words, cause they made me write. 😘”
