If your TikTok algorithm is anything like mine, you've probably spent the last couple months listening to The White Lotus theme song on repeat. When Season Two aired on HBO, we were all reminded that Mike White has a knack for writing hilariously complicated characters. But also—perhaps more importantly—he’s really good at choosing theme songs. As the show picked up steam, its opening track, “Renaissance,” became a trending sound on TikTok. Fans everywhere came to an agreement: it’s a banger.

Well, dear reader, if you’re one of The White Lotus’s many fans and stans, I have good news. Tiësto just released a remix of the theme song, and it’s even catchier than the original. The Dutch DJ dropped “Renaissance (The White Lotus)” as a spin on the catchy track, which was originally composed by Cristobal Tapia de Veer. The new iteration gives the song a buzzier introduction that leads to a fist-pump-worthy bass drop.

In a press release about the song, Tiësto expressed his excitement about the revamped track. “As a huge fan of The White Lotus I couldn’t be more excited to be releasing the official remix,” he said. “I was instantly hooked on the theme song so I had to put a spin on it for my live sets...every time I play it, the crowd goes crazy!” HBO reportedly partnered with Tiësto on the remix, and gave the song its stamp of approval. Does this mean we’ll have a Tiësto-composed opening theme to Season Three? Only time will tell.

Anyway, If you haven’t given the song a listen, here’s what you need to know: it’s good. Like, surprisingly good. You don’t even need to be an EDM fan to like it. Though Tiësto gave the track a nice refresh, his version is largely faithful to the original. The echoing chants and thumping beat are still there, begging you to dance. It will (probably!) always be a viral sensation, so, don't be surprised if you hear it pulsing through the speakers at your next night out.
